2010 Summer Letterpress Workshops at French Press

Saturday, June 26 10-4pm Saturday, July 17, 10-4pm Friday, August 13, 10-4pm Our workshops have been a great way for us to introduce the basics of letterpress printing to those who have an interest in printing, printmaking, type, design or just want to try something new! During the workshop you will set your own composition (form) and print on our Vandercook 4T Proof Press! Workshops are limited to 6 people for the most in-depth experience. Classes are held from 10am-4pm.

Topics covered: brief history of letterpress, setting type, plate printing, mixing inks, selecting paper, and much more! Cost is $75, which includes instruction, materials, and no less than 10 prints of your creation. You will also take home 1 print from your fellow classmates!
